How to beat the automated phone systems

Many companies save money at the expense of consumers. For example, when the telephone company, is likely to experience an automatic response. Some of these systems is the cause of wasting time in a labyrinth of menus or they insult you by asking to speak with a robot.

Here's how to protect your time and reach a person.

1) Work on other tasks. While we wait, read magazines, balancing your checkbook, card file, write a complaint, or search the Web for otherscompany. Buy a hands free headset, so you can work with both hands.

Calm 2). After an hour of delay buttons, repeat the answer to questions of a robot, and broken, you feel angry enough to shout to the person (if applicable response). Rather than talk about the problem you called about.

3) Try different paths. The system responds to requests for information by pressing O, OO #-O or O *. Or call and do not press any keys. The system can assume you know the name of aRotary phone and transfer to another operator. Call other extensions, until you reach a person and then ask to be transferred. Be creative. For example, I was able to reach a person with a large mobile phone company (let's call them A to Z & Z) is calling the telephone operator and ask to speak with someone in service. (That is, I pressed O, instead of songs on the direct number.)

4) Complain. Mail the letter that she exists, while you wait. Quiet and brief description of your experience incustomer service representative. (eg "I waited on hold for two hours and was broken three times.") or be creative. I & A of ZZ A bill sent to the three hours spent trying to talk to someone about a mistake in my account.

Support companies 5) good. Premium courteous service to your business. For example, I changed from A to Z & Z for a second carrier long-distance telephone.

The final thought: If your company uses an automated system to answer the phone, make sure thatfacilitate the communication needed to make your business profitable.
